Capturing the Art of Architecture
The art of architecture is often lost in its functional predisposition. Yet, no tourist itinerary is complete without visiting local monuments. A building is the absolute exemplification of functional art. An ode to the limits of human perseverance. Whether it is the tallest building or the smallest home, each space provides purpose to people who live there. And they in turn add personality to their palace.
As a photographer, it is my endeavor to authentically represent this combination of functional art and personal space. Natural light is one of the most important elements I incorporate in my compositions of architectural design. Natural light creates depth and texture for exterior vistas, while adding to the mood and ambience indoors.Â
If you browse through the images here, do try and observe how natural light is used to accentuate features of design and form. From photographing centuries old buildings to commercial spaces and luxurious modern homes, the process may differ but the goal is always the same, to illustrate an authentic narrative. One that resonates with those who belong there as well as those who covet the experience.
